This study evaluated pathogen-host interactions of five toxigenic Penicillium roqueforti isolates obtained from artisanal mold-ripened cheeses using an experimentally induced Galleria mellonella infection model, by assessing survival, activity, and melanization together with hemocyte cytology and tissue-level histopathology.
