During the past decade, mantle-cell lymphoma has been established as a new disease entity. The normal counterparts of the cells forming this malignant lymphoma are found in the mantle zone of the lymph node, a thin layer surrounding the germinal follicles. These cells have small to medium-sized nuclei, are commonly indented or cleaved, and stain positively with CD5, CD20, cyclin D1, and FMC7 antibodies. We report the histologic and CT imaging findings of a patient with primary Burkitt's lymphoma of the liver. She presented with a massive, painless abdominal mass. The tumor responded to chemotherapy but the patient died of neutropenic sepsis.

A 71-year-old woman presented with a rapidly growing goitre which was diagnosed as chronic autoimmune thyroiditis. Despite treatment with levothyroxine, she developed progressive airway obstruction. Biopsy revealed a primary thyroid lymphoma which was successfully treated with radiotherapy.

Several subtypes of human malignant lymphomas are known to be highly associated with the Epstein-Barr virus. These include the Burkitt's lymphoma, opportunistic (immune deficiency-associated) lymphoma, nasal T/NK lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease pyothorax-associated lymphoma, cutaneous panniculitis-type lymphoma, and mediastinal large B-cell lymphoma. Improvement of histopathological technology, the demonstration of EBV-encoded small RNAs(EBERs), as well as the molecular virological methods, contributed much in the progression of such EBV-associated lymphomas.

Primary gastric lymphoma is a rare gastrointestinal lymphoma. The treatment of this condition remains controversial, especially the extent of surgical resection. Ten cases were operated on over a five-year period at our institution and the outcome was reviewed. Early results suggest no difference in survival whether the margin of resection was clear or not so long as postoperative chemotherapy was given. Lymphomatous involvement of the kidneys is a common manifestation of systemic non-Hodgkin's lymphoma but associated renal dysfunction is uncommon. In contrast, lymphoma originating within the kidneys is a rare event. We report a case of primary renal lymphoma presenting with renal insufficiency and hypertension in a 10-year-old boy.

The paper in devoted to a rare condition difficult to diagnose, intraocular lymphoma. Five patients with a disease history of 2 to 6 years were examined. The authors describe clinical features of the condition and histologic and electron microscopic findings.
