In recent years, the early orthodontic treatment of malocclusion has become a hot issue in the field of orthodontics. Some new phenomena and new problems that have emerged require in-depth analysis and discussion, and need to be given correct guidance and norms. Malocclusion refers to the deformities of teeth, jaws, and craniofacial bones caused by genetic and environmental factors during growth and development. Based on the accurate judgment of the etiology and diagnosis, choosing the right time and suitable indications, with the advantage of growth and development, the most suitable applianc

Malocclusion is a common problem in dogs. Linguoverted canine teeth (class I malocclusion) can cause palatal defects, oronasal fistulae, dental wear, and periodontal disease. Mandibular distoclusion (class II malocclusion), in which the mandibular arch occludes caudal to its normal position relative to the maxillary arch, can further contribute to lingual displacement of mandibular canine teeth. Traditionally, a flowable self-curing bisacrylic composite material has been used. The method described here uses a light cure acrylic denture base material utilizing multiple customized segments to co

INTRODUCTION: Anterior crossbite (AC) is defined as a reverse sagittal relationship between maxillary and mandibular incisors. According to an evidence-based orthodontic triage, the treatment need of AC is indicated if any occlusal interference is forcing the mandible towards a Class III growth pattern. Removable and fixed appliances have been suggested to correct AC.
OBJECTIVE: The present report aims at presenting the benefits of an alternative therapy for the early treatment of anterior crossbite using clear aligners.
METHODS: Two cases of anterior crossbite corrected using clear aligners

This case report presents an orthodontic treatment conducted on a 13-year-old girl with bilateral Class II malocclusion and a mandibular impacted canine. The presence of an impacted tooth necessitates careful consideration of the timing of orthodontic treatment, the appropriate surgical procedure to expose the tooth, the specific orthodontic mechanics involved, and the potential problems that may arise, all of which depend on the type and location of the canine impaction in the jaw. The treatment plan included a surgical procedure to expose the impacted tooth and orthodontic traction to guide

INTRODUCTION: Class II malocclusion, which has a significant incidence in the population, may compromise facial esthetics and the smile, as well as the masticatory and respiratory functions. Often associated with skeletal abnormalities, it severely affects and compromises quality of life. An accurate diagnosis is fundamental to prepare a treatment plan to correct dental and skeletal anomalies.
OBJECTIVES: This study discusses treatment alternatives to the correction of Class II division 1 and 2 malocclusion in growing patients, using a Bionator and an extraoral appliance.

Malocclusion represents the clinically observable endpoint of numerous genetic and environmental influences. Oral Myofunctional Therapy (OMT) aims to treat malocclusions by improving the oral environment through re-education of musculature and respiratory patterns. Although the concept of OMT has existed since the early part of the 20th Century, many of its purported benefits for the treatment of malocclusion remain undemonstrated in the scientific literature. However, a more recent application of OMT for the treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA) suggests some benefits, although more res
