A case of sacroiliac syndrome and lumbar facet capsulitis coexisting with an asymptomatic grade II spondylolisthesis is presented. Spinal manipulative therapy is not contraindicated in the presence of spondylolisthesis if specific to the site of joint hypomobility and if the underlying spondylolisthesis is stable. Manipulation may prove to be diagnostic as well as therapeutic. The need to clinically assess whether the spondylolisthesis is symptomatic is discussed.

A case history demonstrating a cause-effect relationship between sacroiliac sprain and a 'snapping hip' is presented. Periodic iliac manipulation is shown to eliminate crepitus elicited by simultaneous active or passive extension of the knee and hip. The significance of this case history as evidence of the efficacy of iliac manipulation in the management of sacroiliac syndrome is discussed.

Spinal manipulation learning requires intensive practice, which can cause injuries in students. OBJECTIVE: To survey members of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA); regarding the use of the Webster Technique for managing the musculoskeletal causes of intrauterine constraint, which may necessitate cesarean section.

Herniated thoracic disk has an incidence of 1/1 million. Treatment options for a calcified herniated disk include conservative management or diskectomy with or without fusion. We describe a patient who presented a year ago with a 5-month history of back pain, thoracic radiculopathy, and normal physical examination. Imaging revealed a giant calcified herniated thoracic disk at T10-T11. She underwent epidural steroid injections and chiropractic manipulation. Imaging obtained at 1-year follow-up showed near-complete resorption of the calcified thoracic disk.

BACKGROUND: Strokes, typically involving vertebral artery dissection, can follow cervical spinal manipulative therapy, and these types of stroke occur rarely. There is disagreement about whether a strong association between neck manipulation and stroke exists.
