INTRODUCTION: Vascular lesions produced as a consequence of surgical spinal treatment are rare, but serious. Fast diagnosis and treatment are essential in lesions that produce massive blood loss. Following the use of non covered stents in the treatment of peripheral vascular stenotic obstructive pathologies, the appearance of covered stents allowed aneurysms, pseudo aneurysms, fistulas or bleedings to be treated. Being able to graft a stent in serious patients, during diagnosis itself, with a minimum amount of aggression and local anaesthesia affords this technique huge advantages over others.

Disseminated aspergillosis is an uncommon and unpredictable complication in severely immunocompromised patients and poses a challenging problem in the management and care of seriously ill patients receiving intensive care therapy. We report an autopsied case of disseminated aspergillosis occurring ina 31-year-old female patient who was treated for HELLP (hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes, and low platelet count) syndrome. She initially presented with edema and proteinuria at a pregnancy check-up. At gestational age 33 weeks and 2 days, she had right lower abdominal pain, nausea, and jaundice.

Migration of total hip arthroplasty components is generally associated with a medial acetabular wall defect and may cause various intrapelvic complications. This is often a result of the destructive bone loss that takes place with infection. To our knowledge, this is the first report that presents complete intrapelvic migration of a femoral stem of total hip arthroplasty due to septic loosening with an intact medial acetabular wall.

PURPOSE: Controversy arises regarding the optimal management of patients with nonseminomatous germ cell tumor (NSGCT) who achieve a serologic and radiographic complete remission (CR) to systemic chemotherapy.
