BACKGROUND: To determine the efficacy of combined intravitreal triamcinolone (TA) injection and laser photocoagulation in persistent macular edema after branch retinal vein occlusion (BRVO).
METHODS: Follow-up analysis of a case series of 24 patients with macular edema after BRVO (15 of 24 non-ischaemic, 9 of 24 ischaemic). PURPOSE: To evaluate the natural history of Familial Exudative Vitreoretinopathy (FEVR) with emphasis on the effect of the age of onset on its severity and on the development of late complications such as cataract and retinal detachment. Also, to evaluate affected patients for DNA abnormalities.

METHOD: Retrospective cohort study. Infants with retinopathy of prematurity treated by anti-VEGF therapy or laser treatment were included in the study. Degrees of visual field in eight directions examined by Goldmann perimeter (intensity, 1000 apostilb; size, V4e = 64 mm2) were compared between the anti-VEGF therapy and laser treatment groups.
