Expression of glypican-3 is seen in a variety of malignant liver neoplasms, such as hepatoblastoma and hepatocellular carcinoma. It is generally not expressed in benign neoplasms and is therefore used as a reliable immunohistochemical marker for distinguishing benign from malignant liver neoplasms. BACKGROUND: Adult sinonasal rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) is an exceptionally rare and aggressive malignancy originating from mesenchymal cells. It poses a significant diagnostic challenge due to its morphological and immunohistochemical overlap with other small round blue cell tumors, such as neuroendocrine carcinoma and olfactory neuroblastoma. Accurate diagnosis requires a high index of suspicion, advanced imaging, and comprehensive histopathology aided with immunohistochemistry (IHC) for specific myogenic markers like Myogenin and MyoD1.

We report one case of yolk sac tumor of the ear and review the literature. The patient was a 9-month boy who scratched his right ear repeatedly one month ago. Computed tomography scan showed an irregular elongated mass image measuring 42×16 mm was found in the right external auditory canal. The tumor was located underneath of the epidermis with ulceration. Mild or moderate atypical round or oval tumor cells were arranged in nest and reticular pattern around vesicular or cystic spaces. Hepatoblastoma is thought to originate from embryonal hepatic tissue, and most of these tumors occur in children under the age of 2 years. Immunohistochemical localization of placental alkaline phosphatase (PlAP) has been performed on eighty-two samples of normal (embryonic, fetal, infantile or adult), cryptorchid or tumorous testicular tissue. The isoenzyme could be demonstrated at the cell membrane of primitive, embryonic germ cells but not in other normal tissues. The present study based on WHO histologic typing of testicular tumours deals with 100 cases recorded in the files of the Department of Pathology from 1969 to 1987. These tumours accounted for 2.57% malignancies of male genital system. Maximum number of tumours were recorded in the third and fourth decades. Right testis was affected in 60% cases.
