OBJECTIVES: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of pedal lymphography (PLG) in the localization diagnosis of chyluria.

OBJECTIVE: To study the effect of radionuclide lymphoscintigraphy, a new method of localization diagnosis of chyluria.
METHODS: Radionuclide lymphoscintigraphy was used to examine 34 patients with chyluria and the results of radionuclide lymphoscintigraphy was compared with those of cystoscopy and lymphangiography.

Occult bladder injury may sometimes go unrecognized during tension-free vaginal tape (TVT) procedures. We report a case of occult intraperitoneal bladder injury that occurred during a TVT procedure. There was no sign of bladder perforation on the initial cystoscopy, which was performed just after the insertion of the trocar. Forty-nine patients underwent preoperative cystoscopy prior to surgical resection for adenocarcinoma of the rectum. There were 30 men and 19 women ranging in age from 26 to 78 years, with a median age of 59 years. White-light cystoscopy (WLC) may miss small, non-papillary, flat lesions, commonly associated with high-grade lesions such as carcinoma in situ. Enhanced cystoscopy techniques, including blue-light cystoscopy (BLC), narrow-band imaging, and IMAGE1 S, aim to address the shortcomings of traditional WLC in detecting bladder cancer. These techniques enhance the detection of tumors, although whether the improved sensitivity translates into better recurrence-free and progression-free survival is less certain. BLC should be utilized in patients with suspicious cytology and unrevealing WLC.
