A case of contact dermatitis to biperiden, an anti-Parkinson agent, and photocontact dermatitis to phenothiazines in a pharmacist was reported. The patient developed eczematous lesions on exposed area after she had worked at a psychiatric hospital for 6 months. She showed positive patch test reaction to biperiden. In addition, she reacted positively to photopatch testing with ultraviolet A and phenothiazines such as chlorpromazine and perphenazine. To our knowledge, contact dermatitis to biperiden has not been previously reported in the English literature.

Doxycycline is a classically implicated cause of phototoxic reactions. Photo-onycholysis is a rare manifestation of phototoxicity. Nail changes may typically include nail pain, subungual hemorrhages, or distal onycholysis. Self-resolution can be expected in 3 to 6 months. Patients prescribed doxycycline should be counseled about the potential for phototoxicity and the need for appropriate sun protection while taking the medication.

Albeit uncommon, photosensitivity reaction induced by diclofenac can be an unfortunate adverse reaction complicating its use as a topical analgesic. We here present a case of a patient who suffered such a reaction as a result of exposure to diclofenac, employed as a topical analgesic for low backache. The lesions healed with conservative management without extensive scarring or other complications.

Heracleum Sosnowskyi was discovered in 1772 and described as a separate species in 1944 by I. P. Mandenova. Its name is derived from the surname of a botanist studying Caucasian flora, Prof. D.I. Sosnowski. In the area of the Caucasus foothills, the plant reaches approximately 1-1,5 m in height, whereas in Poland its size is significantly larger, up to 3-3.5 m. Heracleum blooms from mid-June to the end of July. The flowers are arranged in umbels and last for 2-3 weeks. UNLABELLED: Idiopathic photodermatoses are a group of photosensitivity dermatoses, which are not very frequent with the exception of polymorphous light eruption. Therefore, their recognition may not be easy for dermatologists who are not familiar with photosensitivity diseases.

We describe the first case of drug-induced solar urticaria due to repirinast, an antiallergic drug developed and introduced into the market in Japan in 1987. The patient was a 72-year-old woman who had been on repirinast for 1 year and 8 months. She developed urticaria immediately after an irradiation with 1.5 J/cm2 of UVA, and the provocation test confirmed that repirinast was responsible for the urticarial reaction.
