OBJECTIVE: To evaluate perioperative bleeding during laparoscopic hysterectomy.
DESIGN: Retrospective clinical study.
SETTING: Department Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Baby Friendly Hospital Kladno, Kladno, Czech Republic.
METHODS: Clinical data and cases of perioperative complications and bleeding of patients after laparoscopic hysterectomy were summarized and assessed. Colposcopy is the accepted diagnostic test for evaluation of an abnormal Pap test to determine the location and extent of cervical intraepithelial lesions (CIN). Patients using an intrauterine device (IUD) who require a loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP) for cervical dysplasia have traditionally had the IUD removed prior to the procedure. This case report illustrates how the tension-free vaginal tape (TVT) procedure can be successfully combined with another gynecological intervention. A 38-year-old patient had been diagnosed with didelphys uterus during cesarean section. She came to us for treatment of confirmed genuine stress incontinence. In conjunction with the TVT procedure, we resected the congenital vaginal septum. The patient has remained continent for over 1 year.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the tissue electrothermal effects and to seek the appropriate setting of operative wattage during transcervical resection of endometrium (TCRE).
METHODS: The power setting were 60 W, 80 W, 100 W for cutting and 30 W, 60 W, 80 W, 100 W for coagulation when performing endometrial resection in vitro or in vivo with operating time 3-5 seconds or 6-8 seconds respectively. The objective of this chapter is to review the role of surgical management of polycystic ovarian syndrome in infertile women.
