PURPOSE: To report a case of indirect trauma causing dislocation of the crystalline lens in a patient with no underlying risk factors.
METHODS: Case report.
RESULTS: A 76-year-old woman fell injuring her right temple area. She complained of blurring of vision in her right eye. Her vision was reduced to 6/60. Ocular examination revealed right aphakia associated with complete posterior dislocation of the crystalline lens into the vitreous cavity. No predisposing factors as pigment dispersion or pseudoexfoliation material was found on gonioscopy.

Nineteen patients who complained of red eyes had the characteristic clinical signs of an atypical carotid-cavernous fistula. The authors report on 3 cases of the hypotony syndrome following trabeculotomy in young patients. 2 of these patients had glaucoma chronicum, the third had a clinical picture resembling pigment glaucoma. All 3 patients had before the operation a wide anterior chamber angle. Thy hypotony syndrome was treated conservately with atropine in the first two cases. A 15-year follow-up examination of a boy with Rieger's syndrome showed that the anterior segment changes in this disease may be slowly progressive in the absence of glaucoma or miotic treatment. PURPOSE: To compare the measurement of diurnal fluctuations in intraocular pressure (IOP) in the same day versus over different days in primary open-angle glaucoma.
METHODS: Twenty-five eyes from 25 patients with primary open-angle glaucoma were submitted to a diurnal curve on the same day, 5 measurements, 2.5 hours apart, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
