INTRODUCTION: Obesity may increase complexity of surgical procedures and increase the risk of perioperative complications. Weight reduction by the use of low energy diet (LED, ≤1200 kcal/day) or very low energy diet (VLED, ≤800 kcal/day) can reduce postoperative complications after bariatric surgery, but for most other types of surgery the evidence for its use remains uncertain. We report a pediatric case of ecstasy intoxication via an unusual route. A mother called the emergency services after her daughter had inserted an ecstasy pill into her nose. During transportation, the child developed hypertension, tachycardia, and tachypnea. OBJECTIVE: The current study aimed to investigate the value of definitive-intent (chemo)radiotherapy in treating sinonasal undifferentiated carcinoma (SNUC) in a single institution.
METHODS: The medical records of 21 patients with SNUC treated with definitive-intent (chemo)radiotherapy between 2011 and 2021 in one single institution were retrospectively reviewed. We analyzed the treatment efficiency and long-term survivals.
