Management of soft tissue avulsion after facial bites could be challenging in some situation. We presented the case of a 32 years old men suffering from a full thickness avulsion of the left lower lip and cheek after a dog bite. Even if the lip fragment was initially put on the bin, a microvascular replantation was performed. The vascularization was based on the left inferior labial artery. No veins were found. Successful microvascular ear replantation is rarely reported, and most of the time involves the use of leeches for venous congestion. A case of microvascular replantation of the ear is reported in which two arterial inflow anastomoses and two outflow anastomoses (venovenous and arteriovenous) were performed. Postoperative, prostaglandin E1 (PGE1) was given. The replant was 100 percent successful, and no venous congestion developed.

BACKGROUND: The aims of this study were to determine prevalence, risk factors and treatment of constipation in patients with Cystic Fibrosis (CF), as well as the diagnostic value of abdominal radiography.
METHODS: A cohort of 214 pediatric CF patients was investigated. Furthermore, 106 abdominal radiographs of CF patients with or without constipation were independently assessed by three observers on two separate occasions using the Barr and Leech scores.

The morphology of sporocysts and cercariae of Neoplagioporus elongatus (Goto and Ozaki, 1930) is described for the first time. A cotylomicrocercous cercaria obtained from the sorbeoconch snail Semisulcospira nakasekoae was confirmed to be the cercaria of N. elongatus, based on the degree of sequence identity of the COI gene to that of adult worms. A successful case of lower lip vermilion replantation is presented where there was lack of a suitable vein for drainage after arterial flow was re-established. The venous stasis was overcome by the "chemical leech," intra-replant subcutaneous heparin injection at intervals 9 days postoperatively. The result is excellent both aesthetically and functionally.
