The Tohoku University Hospital has been a clinical and research facility for all the related departments of Tohoku University. Medical-dental and interprofessional collaboration has resulted in special treatment teams, made up of members of departments such as the center for head and neck cancer, the center for dysphagia, and the cleft lip and palate center. BACKGROUND: A deviated nose is a common deformity encountered in rhinoplasty. Over the past several decades, a variety of rhinoplasty techniques have been described focusing on the classification of bony and cartilaginous deviation. Nevertheless, corrective rhinoplasty is still a challenging procedure even for experienced surgeons because of the high recurrence rate of deviation. Severely atrophic mandibles were augmented in 254 patients using five different surgical procedures, followed by total lowering of the floor of the mouth, vestibuloplasty, and skin graft. Patients were evaluated on a long-term basis to compare efficacy of treatment subjectively by recording patient complaints and by objectively assessing ridge form clinically and radiographically. This cross-sectional observational study aimed to establish facial linear and angular measurement values for Mozambique adults and to determine the morphologic differences between sexes and ages using stereophotogrammetry.
