Given the fact that infectious agents contribute to around 18% of human cancers worldwide, it would seem prudent to explore their role in neoplasms of the ocular adnexa: primary malignancies of the conjunctiva, lacrimal glands, eyelids, and orbit. BACKGROUND: The differential diagnosis of endolaryngeal mesenchymal neoplasms includes a wide spectrum of benign and malignant pathologies, which have been rarely photo-documented and assessed as a group.
METHODS: Non-epithelial neoplasms of the endolarynx seen at our centre from 2002 to 2011 (n = 38; 36 treated at our institution) were retrospectively reviewed, with attention to clinical presentation, radiographic imaging, operative management, histology, and pre- and post-operative endoscopy. OBJECTIVES: Vulva cancer makes up 2.5-5% of all malignant neoplasms developing within the female genital organs. The average age of patients with vulvar cancer is 60 years, and most cases occur between 70-80. The great majority of cases (95%) belong to squamous cell carcinoma with endophytic or exophytic growth, for example carcinoma verrucosum. It is malignant neoplasms showing a significant histologic maturity, which however, does not cause metastases.
STUDY DESIGN: This is a case report concerning a 101 year old patient with vulvar cancer treated surgically.

Verrucous carcinoma (VC) is a rare variant of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). It is described as a low grade, slow growing, locally infiltrative neoplasm that accounts for 3%-8% of penile SCCs. Here we report a case of destructive VC of the glans penis in a paraplegic man resulting in a hypospadias from the tip of the glans to the corona. Histology demonstrated exophytic squamous epithelial proliferation with characteristic round, pushing borders. In situ hybridization was positive for both low-risk and high-risk strains of human papillomavirus.

PURPOSE: As survival rates for individuals with HIV/AIDS diagnoses increase, cancer is becoming a more prevalent disease in this population. Data regarding the concurrent diagnoses of HIV/AIDS and cancer has not previously been examined and analyzed in the state of Iowa.
METHODS: The Iowa Cancer Registry and Iowa Department of Public Health's HIV/AIDS surveillance databases were linked, and matches were identified. Characteristics of Iowans with HIV/AIDS later diagnosed with cancer between 1991 and 2015 were compared to Iowans without HIV/AIDS using proportional incidence ratios (PIRs).

Histopathological examination was performed on cutaneous biopsies from 900 dogs with skin lesions from Zimbabwe, collected from 1996 to 2000. Clinical data were collected from medical records.
