Concentrations of copper, zinc, iron, cadmium, lead, and nickel in the semen of foxes (Vulpes vulpes, n = 10), microscopic analysis of occurrence of pathological spermatozoa, and correlations of these elements with pathological forms were studied. The influence of supplementation of theophylline to the medium regarding the penetration of canine epididymal spermatozoa into immature oocytes was examined. In the control medium, sperm penetration into the oocytes was observed in 8 of 13 dogs (61.5%), and the mean penetration rate was 22.0%. GOAL OF THIS STUDY: The aim of this study was to determine whether spermatozoa play a role in the transport of Chlamydia trachomatis into the upper reproductive tract and in the pathogenesis of chlamydial salpingitis.
STUDY DESIGN: Five monkeys were inoculated with Chlamydia trachomatis in the cervix and mated, and three other monkeys were infected in the cervix but not mated.

We investigated a 28-year-old, infertile male patient with the characteristic clinical signs of Kartagener's syndrome (i.e. bronchiectasis, recurrent sinusitis, situs inversus).
