PURPOSE: To report a case of trigeminal neuralgia after retinal surgery in a 72-year-old man.
METHODS: Case report.
RESULTS: A 72-year-old man developed severe postoperative pain after undergoing vitrectomy and endolaser therapy. The pain responded to neuroleptic medications once a diagnosis of trigeminal neuralgia was made.
CONCLUSION: The authors report a case of trigeminal neuralgia developed after vitreoretinal surgery. Clinicians should consider trigeminal neuralgia in the differential diagnosis of atypical pain after retinal surgery.

Unexpected intracranial foreign materials may pose a diagnostic dilemma. We present a case of a gunshot wound resulting in severe orbital trauma and open-globe injury. The patient was treated with vitreoretinal surgery and intravitreous perfluorocarbon liquid (PFCL) injection. PURPOSE: To establish expert consensus on the contemporary surgical management of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD) using a structured Delphi approach.
METHODS: A panel of experienced vitreoretinal surgeons participated in a multiround Delphi survey evaluating statements related to surgical approach, vitrectomy techniques, tamponade selection, anesthesia, postoperative care, special populations, and future technologies. BACKGROUND: Use of perfluorocarbon liquid (PFCL) has been increasingly growing as an adjuvant in vitreo-retina surgeries. Some commonly encountered complications with its use include subretinal migration, formation of sticky silicone oil or retained PFCL in vitreous cavity and anterior chamber.
