BACKGROUND: Lymphoblastic lymphoma (LBL) is a rare form of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL). Cutaneous LBL is seen in less than 20% of patients.
PATIENTS AND METHODS: Herein, we report the case of a 66-year-old male patient without any previous disease history of note and who was presenting a gradually spreading tumoral lesion of the scalp, several purplish macules and nodules on the trunk, and a single spinal adenopathy. Ascites, pseudocyst, necrosis of the retroperitoneal fat tissue and pancreatopleural fistula with left sided pleural effusion may complicate pancreatitis. However, steatonecrosis of the mediastinum and right side pleural effusion are rather rare complications of pancreatitis. We present a case of a patient with alcohol induced pancreatitis. Chest x-ray showed right sided pleural effusion. Although high levels of amylase in pleural fluid made the diagnosis of pancreatopleural fistula most likely, necrosis of the mediastinal fat tissue with right side pleural effusion was found postmortem.

A urinoma is an encapsulated extravasation of urine which can be secondary to trauma or which can occur spontaneously. The essential factors are continued renal function, rupture of the collecting system and distal obstruction. The extravasated urine causes lipolysis and stimulates an intense fibrous reaction which forms a thick wall. This lipolysis may be due to a mass effect as no direct effect of the urine on adipocytes has ever be demonstrated. Early diagnosis by CT scan allows easier treatment: in certain cases, percutaneous drainage alone may be sufficient.
