Ninety-six patients with transient ischemia attacks were examined by transcranial Doppler (TCD), carotid color-coded ultrasonic imagine, brain computed tomographic scan (CT), compared with digital subtract angiography (DSA), MRI and MRA were done in some cases. Forty one cases of malignant trophoblastic tumor which were confirmed by pathological examinations were reviewed. The diagnostic correspondence rate by sonography was 92.3% (38/41). The image patterns, types of tumor, differential diagnosis and diagnostic value of sonography were also explored in this paper.

A medical image processing system attached to electron microscope was used to study the pelvic stomata of fetuses quantitatively. Two kinds of the mesothelial cells were found on the pelvic peritoneum of fetuses and mice, i.e. flattened and cuboidal cells. This article reports the diagnostic experiences of 134 cases of primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) confirmed by operation and pathologic examination. The clinical presentations were divided into 4 types: (1) 75 cases (56.0%) with bone resorption; (2) 47 cases (35.0%) with bone lesions plus urinary calculus; (3) 8 cases (6.0%) with urinary calculus only and; (4) 4 cases (3.0%) with hypercalcemia only. En bloc resection of the shoulder girdle (Tikhoff-Linberg procedure) is a valuable limb-sparing surgical technique for bony and soft tissue malignant tumor in and around the proximal humerus and shoulder girdle. Genital warts (condyloma accunimata) are a kind of sexually transmitted disease (STD) caused by human papillomavirus (HPV). In this article, we report 75 cases of genital warts treated with highly purified podophyllotoxin. All volunteers were selected in our clinic and diagnosed according to typical skin lesions and positive 0.5% acetic acid test. In the present study, we determined and compared plasma t-PA and PAI activity in 58 AMI patients receiving thrombolytic therapy with UK and snake venom antithrombus enzyme (SVATE) or routine therapy during 3 weeks, and also in 24 healthy subjects. Plasma t-PA activity was decreased and plasma PAI activity increased significantly in patients with AMI as compared to normal controls. From June, 1989 to March, 1991, 24 cases were treated in our department with the Dick technique. The study population included 7 patients with fresh horacolumber spine fracture, 10 with late spinal fracture (15 of the above 17 cases had incomplete paraplegia), 3 with ankylosing spondylitis, 2 with tuberculosis, and one each with spondylolisthesis and spine tumor. This article summarizes surveillance data of STDs at 16 urban monitoring centers in 1987-1990. During the four year period, 125 493 STD cases were reported. The average annual incidence was 77.80/100,000. Because the rate of increase in females (65.85% per year) was greater than that in males (36.81% per year), the male-to-female ratio fell from 2.39:1 (1987) to 1.34:1 (1990). Skin lesions from 14 patients with mycosis fungoides (MF) were studied immunohistochemically with monoclonal antibodies that identify pan T (Leu4), T-helper/inducer (TH), T-suppressor/cytotoxic (Ts) (Leu3a, Leu2a) and pan B (Leu12) cells. The peritoneal stomata in sixteen human specimens were studied by SEM, TEM and ODO freeze fracture techniques.
