Acquisition of eyeblink conditioned responses to a tone was studied in restrained male albino rats. High comorbidity with panic attacks suggests individuals with bipolar disorder may also mount a heightened anxiety response to CO(2). Single and multiple unit activity was recorded from the amygdaloid nuclei in awake unanesthestized rabbits during classical conditioning of the nictitating membrane (NM) response.
