INTRODUCTION: Sinonasal undifferentiated carcinoma (SNUC) are uncommon, highly aggressive neoplasms arising in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses. This paper presents a very rare case of segmental sunset glow fundus following a choroidal tumor-like lesion in a 59-year-old woman. She complained of metamorphopsia in her left eye. Funduscopic examination disclosed a pale yellowish choroidal tumefaction, superotemporal to the macula. She was initially thought to have a choroidal tumor. Nine years after enucleation of the right eye because of a choroidal melanoma a choroidal melanoma a metastasis of the melanoma developed in the left orbit. Histologically, the two tumors were identical spindle-cell B melanomas. No other primary tumors or metastases were found. This is only the third case of this rare form of metastasization ever reported.

Secondary ocular malignancies most commonly spread to the choroid. Previously, the prognosis was poor however, with newer treatments including immunotherapy, patient's life expectancy have increased. It is therefore, important that ophthalmologists diagnose this condition in a timely manner and offer treatment to maximize visual potential and refer them on to oncology colleagues in order to optimize their systemic treatment for their primary cancer.
