OBJECTIVE: To investigate the occurrence and clinical characteristics of dapsone-related adverse drug reactions (ADRs) among leprosy patients who underwent multidrug therapy (MDT) from 2010 to 2013 in the western region of Nepal.
METHODS: A retrospective review was carried out in the rehabilitation center. Data were collected from the record files of the hospital.
RESULTS: From 2010 to 2013, there were 18 patients reported to have dapsone ADRs, with an occurrence rate of 0.82% in the 4-year duration. The maximum incidence of ADRs (1.043%) was in 2010 and the minimum incidence of ADRs (0.26%)

BACKGROUND: Equine sarcoidosis may present as a generalized or localized exfoliative dermatitis and/or as a granulomatous inflammation of multiple organs.

Over a three-month period, 13 neonates developed staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome (SSSS) in a maternity unit, between four and 18 days after their birth. An epidemiological and descriptive study followed by a case-control study was performed. Bevacizumab, an anti-vascular epidermal growth factor inhibitor, is approved for the treatment of various cancers. Hypertension, gastrointestinal perforation, bleeding manifestations, impaired wound healing, and cerebrovascular accidents are common side effects associated with the monoclonal antibody. Uncommon cutaneous reactions like exfoliative dermatitis associated with bevacizumab have been documented in the medical literature. We present an unusual case of bevacizumab-induced cutaneous lupus in a patient with metastatic colon cancer that started resolving after discontinuing chemotherapy.

Erythroderma is generalized exfoliative dermatitis, which involves more than 90% of the patient's skin. The most common cause of erythroderma is exacerbation of an underlying skin disease, malignancies or drug reaction.
