Machine learning and natural language processing to assess the emotional impact of influencers' mental health content on Instagram.

BACKGROUND: This study aims to examine, through artificial intelligence, specifically machine learning, the emotional impact generated by disclosures about mental health on social media. In contrast to previous research, which primarily focused on identifying psychopathologies, our study investigates the emotional response to mental health-related content on Instagram, particularly content created by influencers/celebrities. This platform, especially favored by the youth, is the stage where these influencers exert significant social impact, and where their analysis holds strong relevance. Anal

A Multimodal Dataset of Psychological, Physiological, and Behavioral Responses in Diverse Driving Scenarios.

Driver emotion significantly impacts traffic safety, driving behavior, and driving experience, often being directly influenced by different driving scenarios. To explore this relationship, we present EmoRoad, a multimodal dataset capturing emotional, physiological, and behavioral responses under diverse driving scenarios. These scenarios are defined by three dimensions, each with two conditions: road scenario (urban/suburban), traffic density (jam/flow), and weather (sunny/rainy). The combination of these factors results in eight representative driving scenarios. Data were collected from 50 pa

Childhood adversity and multi-dimensional cognitive dysfunction in major depressive disorder: investigating heterogeneous effects across gender and educational in the UK Biobank.

BACKGROUND: Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) is characterized by cognitive dysfunction that persists as one of the most profoundly disabling mental health conditions worldwide. Childhood adversity (CA) is not only a significant risk factor for the onset and course of MDD, but it is also strongly linked to decreased cognitive performance in MDD. Existing studies feature small sample sizes, single evaluation indicators, inconsistent outcomes, and few studies on the effects of demographic variables. METHOD: This study used cross-sectional data (N = 2353) from the UK Biobank to investigate the rela

Impact of emotional trauma on brainstem: Unlocking the effects on neural pathways.

The brainstem, far from being a simple relay center, emerges as a sophisticated processor of emotional trauma, orchestrating complex neural responses that reshape our understanding of trauma biology. This chapter explores the convoluted relationship between emotional trauma and brainstem function, revealing how traumatic experiences trigger precise quantum-level changes in neural circuits. Through examining chronobiological rhythms and neuroimmune interactions, we uncover the dynamic nature of trauma-induced brainstem adaptations. Our exploration extends to the fascinating brainstem-gut axis,

Is Neural Processing of Negative Stimuli Altered in Addiction Independent of Drug Effects? Findings From Drug-Naïve Youth with Internet Gaming Disorder.

Difficulties in emotion regulation are commonly reported among individuals with alcohol and drug addictions and contribute to the acquisition and maintenance of addictive behaviors. Alterations in neural processing of negative affective stimuli have further been demonstrated among individuals with addictions. However, it is unclear whether these alterations are a general feature of addictions or are a result of prolonged exposure to drugs of abuse. To test the hypothesis of altered negative affect processing independent of drug effects, this study assessed neural function among drug-naïve yout

Analysis of the Influence of Network Continuous Care on the Quality of Life of Patients with Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) after PIC.

Источник пометил публикацию как отозванную

Studies have shown that most patients after PCI cannot adhere to the cardiac rehabilitation program. The survey found that due to the lack of secondary prevention of cardiac rehabilitation, the phenomenon of drug reduction and withdrawal after PCI is very common after discharge, leading to recurrence of the patient's disease or worsen and repeated hospitalizations, so continuity of care is very important. In this paper, in addition to proposing a network care continuum with artificial intelligence handler in order to improve the healthcare system and provide new ideas for improving the postope

Long-term outcome of children with fetal alcohol syndrome: psychopathology, behavior, and intelligence.

Within an interdisciplinary research project, the long-term outcome of children with fetal alcohol syndrome was studied. Methods for the assessment of psychopathology, behavior, and intelligence included psychiatric interviews, behavior checklists for parents and teachers, and intelligence tests. The children were assessed during preschool age, early school age (6 to 12 years), and late school age (> or =13 years). An excess of psychopathology, (including hyperkinetic disorders, emotional disorders, sleep disorders, and abnormal habits and stereotypes) with a strong persistence over time was f

Identifying Unmonitored Tone Drift in Patient Education Materials Transcribed to a Lower Reading Level by a Large Language Model.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Effective patient education is essential in neurosurgery, but many materials exceed recommended readability levels, which can limit comprehension and informed consent. Simplification can also alter tone, potentially introducing bias. Recent studies have used large language models such as Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer (ChatGPT) to simplify neurosurgical patient education materials (PEMs), but the impact of this process on sentiment and emotional tone remains unclear. Our objective was to assess the sentiment and emotional tone of neurosurgical PEMs before an

[Meta-analysis in neurobehavioral toxicological studies].

Meta-analysis was used to deal with the data collected in neurobehavioral toxicological studies to synthesize their findings quantitatively. Results revealed neurotoxic chemicals could cause changes in cognitive abilities, psychomotor function and emotion of persons exposed. However, each toxicant had its distinct effects on neurobehavior, for example, lead mainly impairs touch sense, memory, emotion and cognitive abilities, mercury does intelligence, concentration and motor stability, and carbon disulfide does eye-hand coordination. It suggested meta-analysis could be directive to selecting t
