We used polyglycolic acid (PGA) sheets, a reinforcing material, as supporting devices for securing the fascia instead of fibrin glue or Gelfoam in patients with tympanic membrane (TM) perforations. This article presents a simple technique for fascia lata lengthening that is less aggressive, can be performed under local anaesthetic with little morbidity and disability, and has excellent results.
