The radiologic features of giant cell tumor (GCT) and giant cell reparative granuloma (GCRG) of bone often strongly suggest the diagnosis and reflect their pathologic appearance. A 71-year-old man with asymptomatic red papules on the trunk and upper arms was reported as a case of papular elastolytic giant cell granuloma. A skin biopsy specimen from a papule on the back showed similar findings to those of annular elastolytic giant cell granuloma. However, centrifugal annular lesions were not clinically observed. He was successfully treated with tranilast and topical steroids.

Giant cell tumor of bone (GCTB) is a rare and highly osteolytic bone tumor that usually leads to an extensive bone lesion. The purpose of this study was to discover novel therapeutic targets and identify potential agents for treating GCTB. After screening the serum cytokine profiles in 52 GCTB patients and 10 normal individuals using the ELISA assay, we found that NF-κB signaling-related cytokines, including TNFα, MCP-1, IL1α, and IL17A, were significantly increased in GCTB patients. We report a case of restrictive cardiomyopathy in which a distinct endothelial thickening of the atrial wall and pulmonary vein orifices was noted on transesophageal echocardiography.
