Ketamine and esketamine are efficacious for treatment-resistant depression. Unlike other antidepressants, ketamine lacks a therapeutic delay and decreases the risk for suicide. This cross-sectional study geographically characterized ketamine and esketamine prescribing to United States (US) Medicaid patients. A prospective study was done on Indiana University freshman football players to determine if the incidence of lumbar spondylolysis and spondylolisthesis followed the pattern of previous studies. Using x-ray film evaluation, 145 freshman players were followed through their careers from 1978 to 1983. As in previous studies, a higher percentage (15.2%) of the defect was found than exists in the general population. Ehrlichiosis is a bacterial zoonosis, spread through the bites of infected ticks, that is most commonly caused in the United States by infection with the bacterium Ehrlichia chaffeensis. This retrospective study evaluated the midterm clinical and radiographic outcomes of a second-generation total knee replacement system. In a multicentre consecutive series of 1512 patients, 1970 knees were treated with the PFC Sigma knee system (Depuy, Warsaw, Indiana). Motorcycle fatalities have more than doubled in the United States since 1997--highlighting the need to better understand the many interrelated factors that determine motorcyclists' crash-injury severities. In this paper, using a detailed crash database from the state of Indiana, we estimate probabilistic models of motorcyclists' injury severities in single- and multi-vehicle crashes. Twenty-four cases of signet-ring cell carcinoma of the breast are presented. These represented 4.5% of 535 cases of surgically treated breast cancer at Indiana University Medical Center.
