This study examines how marriage-network position was associated with recorded literary visibility among Qing literary families. Using Xu Yanping's Genealogical Networks of Literary Lineages in the Qing Dynasty (2010), we reconstructed a reproducible surname-location-level marriage network from an OCR-based machine-readable corpus.
