Morella salicifolia is a common plant that is widely used in traditional medicine for managing HIV and AIDS-related conditions including tuberculosis but no studies have been done to evaluate its safety and efficacy.

BACKGROUND: Choroidal granuloma is one of the common manifestations of ocular tuberculosis. Tubercles indicate hematogenous dissemination of the disease. Tubercular granulomas respond to Anti-Tubercular Treatment (ATT) and systemic corticosteroids. However, in some patients with large granulomas involving macula, adjunct treatment with intravitreal anti-VEGF may be required for prompt management of the granuloma.

A 4-year-old child with probable multifocal BCG osteomyelitis is reported. The lesions in the skull, clavicula, humerus, ribs, fibula, calcaneus, metatarsus, and hard palate were mainly osteolytic and healed rapidly with antituberculotic therapy. PURPOSE: Central nervous system (CNS) involvement in multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) is associated with high morbidity, and evidence guiding the use of standardized all-oral regimens in intracranial disease is limited. We describe radiographic evolution of a presumed cerebellar tuberculoma during BPaLM-based therapy for MDR-TB.
METHODS: We report the clinical course, microbiologic data, treatment regimen, and serial neuroimaging of a man in his 30s with pulmonary MDR-TB, pleural involvement, and a small peripherally enhancing cerebellar lesion compatible with a tuberculoma.
