PURPOSE: In linear accelerators, deviations in the x-ray focal spot position significantly affect the accuracy of radiation therapy. However, as the focal spot position in bore-type linac systems such as the Radixact system, cannot be assessed using conventional methods, a new evaluation method is required. The chest radiograms (CXR) of 102 patients with Hodgkin's disease presenting with mediastinal involvement at diagnosis were reviewed to assess the incidence and relevance of residual mediastinal abnormalities after therapy. Thirty-five pregnancies occurred during a 21-month follow-up period in 68 women (51%) who presented with infertility and hyperprolactinemia. Bromocriptine was used in 33 patients, of whom 25 (76%) conceived. In the remaining 35 patients who did not receive bromocriptine, there were 10 pregnancies (28%). Fourty patients with cancer of the gastric cardia as proven by pathology or cytology were treated by radiation therapy from January 1985 to October 1986. A patient with biliary ascariasis was observed. The diagnosis was strongly suggested on endoscopic cholangiography. X-ray examination of the small bowel confirmed intestinal infestation and the stools were positive for ascaris lumbricoides. We report a case of giant testicular tumor. A 30-year-old man visited our department complaining of a painless swelling of the right scrotal contents. The aim of the study was to specify the epidemiological, clinical and histological characteristics of this disease. In a retrospective study, we collected data from the files of 63 patients, with a history of radiotherapy for tinea capitis, followed between January 1995 and December 2004.
