On the basis of the comparative data on physiology and psychology of speech, as well as applied and comparative linguistics, it is known that apraxia of articulation apparatus in patients with afferent motor aphasia is heterogenous. The study of 3 groups of patients with primary apraxia of either a tongue, lips, or pharynx and larynx allowed one to find that in persons whose native language is Russian, written speech, reading and understanding is disturbed to a lesser degree in primary apraxia of glotis and larynx that are not initial phonemoformation organs in the Russian language.

In 53 patients in different periods of brain strokes the authors studied the functional state of spinal centers by means of registration of H-reflex and F-wave of the skeleton muscles. In spite of the stroke character a marked increase of excitation of the spinal centers was observed, it being especially significant in the subacute period of the disease. In 124 patients with extramedullary tumors of different histological structure atypical syndromes were detected in 61% and were verified by surgical methods. The authors describe the clinical picture of a case with a peak-wave stupor in a 16 year-old patient where the main clinical expression of this disorder was behavioural sleepiness. Polygraphical studies during the attacks detected an expressed permanent paroxysmal activity in the form of bilateral synchronous complexes of spike-waves. The report concerns a description of a case of hereditary acroosteolysis with peculiar clinical and X-ray symptoms. It is being stressed that the neurological changes in different cases differ by their manifold signs and are sometimes the prevalent syndrome. The authors conducted a genetical analysis of 11 cases of hereditary acroosteolysis, which were seen in Dagestan. The paper contains some considerations of the differencies of hereditary acroosteolysis from other similar disorders.

In order to model the piriform muscle syndrome the author utilized clinical and informational-statistical methods. For the same purpose an algorhythm was formed from 2 programmes: the method of hemogeneity in selected medium and correlational analysis. As a rule, in patients with idiopathic parkinsonism the cerebral volume blood flow is decreased in the parietal lobes. Patients with vascular parkinsonism display a decreased blood flow in the frontal and occiptial lobes, more so in the parietal. An inhalation of pure oxygen in the control group of normals decreased the general cerebral blood flow, while in parkinsonic patients it increased it only in the parietal lobes. Treatment with l-dopa regularly and significantly increased the general and regional cerebral blood flow.

The paper deals with a clinical study of schizophrenia in 30 pairs of concordant twins among which 10 were monozygotic, 5 pairs of a doubtful zygoticy and 16 dizygotic. Concordance to manifest schizophrenia was found in 62.5% of monozygotic twins and 25.5% in dizygotic. Both in monozygotic and in dizygotic pairs a constant coinciding sign, except the nozological belonging, was only the form of development in schizophrenia. The level of postive and negative disorders, the frequency of attacks and duration of remissions differes in monozygotic pairs insignificantly, in dizygotic-somewhat more. H

During a study of the ultrastructure of cortical neurons in the development of an intracranial newgrowth, the authors demonstrated a gradual and increasing severity of the condition. There is a certain correlation between the stage of the neuron damage also correlates with the expressiveness of neurological symptoms. The polymorphism of the changed structure in the nerve cells is due to complicated and multifold pathophysiological and biochemical mechanisms being involved in an intracranial volumetrical process.
