We report a rare case of deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty (DALK) neovascularization managed with combination of subconjunctival bevacizumab and argon laser photocoagulation. Migration, distal malposition or fracture of self-expanding metallic biliary or esophageal stents rarely occur but may lead to stent dysfunction, mucosal trauma secondary to impaction or friction on the digestive wall. We report our experience of using argon plasma to endoscopically cut three metallic biliary and esophageal self-expanding stents to restore permeability or to treat impaction of the stent after migration, malposition or fracture.

INTRODUCTION: Plateau iris is recognised as an important cause of primary angle closure glaucoma. The management of this condition generally comprises laser peripheral iridotomy and iridoplasty, to remove any component of relative pupillary block and to widen the iridotrabecular drainage angle respectively. We measured anterior chamber O2 tension and intraocular pressure (IOP) in normal, untreated controls and in rabbits treated with transpupillary argon laser cyclophotocoagulation. Normal anterior chamber O2 tension was 35 +/- 6 mmHg in room air and increased slowly when the rabbits breathed 100% O2. PURPOSE: To report a case of iatrogenic vitrectomy trochar-induced cyclodialysis cleft successfully treated with intraoperative argon endolaser.
OBSERVATIONS: A 68-year-old Caucasian male with a history of high myopia underwent pars plana vitrectomy to clear symptomatic vitreous opacities but developed early postoperative hypotony that was recalcitrant to medical management for the first 6 postoperative months.
