The antiallergic eye drops "Polynadyme", proposed by the Helmgolz Moscow Research Institute of Eye Diseases, have been prepared by the "Sintez" PJSC (Kurgan). The drops exert a combination of antihistaminic and vasoconstrictive effects and, for better tolerability, contain a low-toxic preserving complex. The drops are polymer-based, which ensures a long action and an artificial tear effect. An ocular toxic reaction presenting as conjunctivitis or keratitis develops in a significant number of patients who are treated with high-dose cytosine arabinoside (ara-C). Although eye drops containing glucocorticoid reportedly decrease the incidence, they do not totally eliminate this side effect. In comparing this technique with artificial tears, both were found to be equally effective. The primary mechanism by which eye drops decrease ocular toxic reactions associated with high-dose ara-C is presumably due to dilution of intraocular concentrations of ara-C.

BACKGROUND: A case of bilateral multifocal serous retinal detachments and dry eye complicated with unilateral peripheral ulcerative keratitis (PUK) during erdafitinib therapy is described.
CASE DESCRIPTION: A 76-year-old male underwent a baseline examination two months after initiating 8 mg erdafitinib therapy (April 2023) due to metastatic urothelial carcinoma. Left subfoveal serous retinal detachment was observed initially but the treatment was resumed as he was asymptomatic. In May 2023, bilateral multifocal subretinal fluid pockets were identified, and the patient was still asymptomatic.

PURPOSE: To report a case of filamentary keratopathy in a patient with large-angle paralytic strabismus.
METHODS: A 31-year-old man who had a traffic accident was diagnosed to have third cranial nerve palsy and a large-angle exotropia in his right eye. The patient complained of foreign body sensation in his right eye 2 months after the accident.
RESULTS: Slit-lamp examination showed multiple filaments on the right cornea. Debridement of the filaments and artificial tears relieved the symptoms and were used until the paralysis resolved.
CONCLUSION: Large-angle paralytic strabismus with ptosi
