Fallopian tube disease, both acute and chronic, is a common cause of a sonographically indeterminate adnexal mass and may mimic ovarian cancer. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is now widely used as a problem-solving tool in these circumstances. The use of selective salpingography and tubal cannulation in the management of patients with proximal tubal obstruction in the UK is variable in spite of a National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) recommendation. A retrospective review was performed of patients who underwent selective salpingography and fallopian tube catheterisation (SS/TC). A total of 16 patients underwent this procedure. BACKGROUND: Solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) is an uncommon neoplasm that usually arises in the pleura. Although this tumor has been described at other sites, in the female genital tract it is extremely uncommon.
CASE: We present a case of solitary fibrous tumor arising in the fallopian tube. A 32-year-old woman who presented with acute flank pain had a presumptive diagnosis of leiomyoma of the fallopian tube after abdominopelvic ultrasound. The adnexal mass was excised laparoscopically. Histologic examination showed the characteristic features of a solitary fibrous tumor.

A 68-year-old woman presented with a 4-cm polypoid bleeding mass protruding from the vaginal apex 30 years after vaginal hysterectomy. Laparotomy did not confirm the clinical suspicion of bowel prolapse and led to resection of the mass. Microscopic examination revealed a hypocellular edematous lesion with glandular areas resembling fallopian tube epithelium. Condensation of eosinophilic fibrils around medium sized vessels was marked. This case of fallopian tube prolapse shows an unusual resemblance of aggressive angiomyxoma and thus poses a diagnostic pitfall.

A primary leiomyosarcoma (LMS) arising from the left fallopian tube in a perimenopausal 48-year-old woman is reported. Primary tubal LMS is an uncommon, exceedingly rare neoplasm, accounting for only a few reported cases so far. BACKGROUND: Paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration (PCD) is rarely caused by fallopian tube adenocarcinoma.
CASE: We present a patient with PCD and fallopian tube cancer. Anti-Yo antibody, one of an anti-neuronal antibody, was positive in serum and cerebrospinal fluid. She was also positive for HLA A24, which is common in patients with PCD. Radical surgery did not significantly ameliorate her neurological impairment, although the dysarthria improved slightly.

Tubal carcinoma is rare and its prognosis is poor. His diagnosis before intervention is not easy because clinic is poor and complementary exams not specifics. His treatment is radical surgery by laparoscopy associated with chemotherapy. The prognosis is correlated with cancer stage and residual tumoral volume after surgery. We report a 55 years case who underwent coelioscpic annexectomy for left pyosalpinx. Definitive histology answered tubal cancer. Patient dead after three months because disseminated and parietal metastasis.

A 38 year old lady who had total abdominal hysterectomy, for chronic pelvic pain, presented with profuse vaginal discharge per vaginum along with a cystic pelvic mass of 10 week size. There was a polypoidal fleshy growth present in the vault. It was diagnosed to be a fallopian tube on histopathology. Patient was treated with bilateral salpingo-ophorectomy through an open laparotomy.

We report a case of a 75-year-old postmenopausal woman with primary fallopian tube carcinoma confined to the left fallopian tube in Stage IA-2, who is alive without evidence of disease three years after total abdominal hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, total omentectomy, pelvic and paraaortic lymph node dissection were performed. Primary cancer of the fallopian tube (FTC) is among the most unusual gynecologic malignancies and rarely is diagnosed correctly before surgery. The imaging results of eight patients with FTC and four with benign tubal disease were analyzed. FTCs were small cystic or solid masses that typically were shaped like a sausage, a snail, or a gourd, regardless of clinical stage.
