Soft tissue sarcomas (STS) in the retroperitoneum are rare and account for a small percentage of adult STS. Until April 1981 malignant soft tissue sarcomas were registered from 238 patients. Rhabdomyosarcoma was the most common tumor (115/238 = 48.3%). The effects of allogenic blood transfusion on the subcutaneous growth and metastatic spread of two types of mouse tumour (B16 melanoma syngeneic to the C57/BL6 mouse and UV-2237 fibrosarcoma syngeneic to the C3H/He mouse) were studied. Dedifferentiated liposarcoma (DDL) of the spermatic cord is rare, with limited data regarding morphology and prognosis. We analyzed the morphologic spectrum of DDL of the spermatic cord and its clinical significance in 42 patients from 1990 to 2014. The median age of the patients was 70.5 years (range: 43 to 90 y).
