Foreign bodies in the urinary tract are uncommon and can arise from self-insertion or migration from other organs. Documented cases include various objects such as intrauterine devices, fragments of Foley catheters, toothpicks, and fish bones. However, the migration of bullet fragments into the urinary tract from another location is extremely rare with only a few cases reported in the current literature. Here, we present a case of a urinary tract stone formed around a foreign body-a bullet fragment-discovered 47 years after the patient experienced trauma.

A case of unexpected death in a 65-year-old woman, caused by a migrating foreign body that resulted in multifocal hepatic abscesses, is reported. The foreign body was subsequently identified as a portion of chicken fibula. The prolonged time course of the illness, with relatively nonspecific symptoms and signs, resulted in establishment of the diagnosis only at autopsy.

For nasal augmentation, various materials have been used for many years. The injection of foreign body has been carried on, although it is performed mostly by laymen. Because many complications arise after augmentation rhinoplasty by foreign body injection, secondary correction has been needed. Intraocular migration of iron from iron foreign bodies in an extraocular or intrascleral location was studied in rabbits. Focal changes occurred in the choroid and retina beneath the foreign bodies. Significant amounts of iron diffused through the sclera into the globes.
