Eight women with uncomplicated progressive partial lipodystrophy and two with progressive lipodystrophy and diabetes mellitus were studied. Plasma triglyceride levels were significantly elevated in the subjects with uncomplicated lipodystrophy; serum cholesterol, phospholipid, and plasma free fatty acid levels were normal.
