Core targets of bisphenol A in cervical cancer revealed by network toxicology and molecular docking.

This study aimed to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying BPA(Bisphenol A)-induced cervical cancer, to identify core targets and signaling pathways, and to provide a theoretical basis for disease prevention and therapeutic intervention. The chemical structure of BPA was obtained from PubChem(Public Chemical Database), and its toxicity profile was evaluated using ProTox-3.0. Potential BPA-associated targets were predicted using multiple databases and subsequently standardized. Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in cervical cancer were identified from Gene Expression Omnibus dataset

Prediction of the exposure profile of bisphenol A in Chinese population by physiologically-based pharmacokinetics modeling.

Bisphenol A (BPA) has emerged as a typical contaminant which can induce various adverse effects on human health and environment. BPA exposure and the corresponding human responses vary across different regions and populations. China is one of the largest producers and consumers of BPA, but the exposure profile of BPA in Chinese population is poorly understood. Physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) models are emerging as useful tools to predict the internal exposure profiles of chemicals. Herein, the present study was aimed to predict the exposure profile of BPA in Chinese population by

Bisphenol B Exposure Induces Miscarriage by Suppressing Migration/Invasion and Migrasome Formation.

Unexplained miscarriage (UM) remains challenge due to unclear pathogenesis and biological mechanisms. BPB (Bisphenol B), an extensively used endocrine disrupting chemical, has been widely detected out in human. Migrasomes are newly identified cellular organelles with a large number of unknown functions. However, whether and how BPB exposure may suppress migrasome formation (MF) to induce miscarriage are completely unknown. In this study, it is found that higher urinary BPB levels are associated with the suppressed MF in villous tissues and unexplained miscarriage. It is further confirmed that

Network toxicology and molecular docking strategy for Analyzing the toxicity and mechanisms of Bisphenol a in hypertension.

Environmental pollution is an important risk factor for hypertension, and bisphenol A (BPA) is a prevalent environmental contaminant. This study aimed to investigate the potential toxicity of BPA and the underlying molecular mechanisms of BPA-induced hypertension through network toxicology and molecular docking. Initially, we predicted that BPA would be cardiotoxic. We subsequently identified 51 potential targets and extracted 14 core targets of the effects of BPA on hypertension. Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) enrichment analysis demonstrated that these

Androgenic overactivation and epigenetic remodeling drive intergenerational toxicity of bisphenol S in zebrafish.

Bisphenol S (BPS), a widespread plasticizer and endocrine-disrupting compound, can adversely affect steroidogenesis and the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis. This study exposed adult male zebrafish (Danio rerio) to an environmentally relevant BPS concentration (0.5 µg/L) for 14 days (d), assessing its effects on 11-ketotestosterone (11-KT) levels, spermatogenesis, and sperm quality. Additionally, we examined paternal transmission of BPS effects by breeding exposed males with untreated females and evaluating hatching rates, development, survival, and gene expression in offspring. Dimethyl bisphenolate inhibits glioblastoma growth by promoting cell cycle arrest and apoptosis.

Glioblastoma (GBM) is a highly invasive brain tumor. Temozolomide (TMZ) is the standard first-line chemotherapy for GBM, but its efficacy is often limited by the development of resistance and serious side effects, most notably myelosuppression. We recently synthesized Dimethyl bisphenolate (DMB), a novel natural neolignan derivative that has a core structure perhaps greatly associated with anti-tumor activity. However, DMB has only been reported to exhibit hepatoprotective activity thus far, and its anti-tumor activity remains to be investigated. The aim of this study was to explore the effect

Transient exposure to bisphenol F in early life affects the metabolic health of adults.

Although bisphenol F (BPF) is widely used in plastic products, there are concerns about its potential health risks. Here, we aimed to understand the long-term effects of a brief BPF exposure during development. We treated zebrafish larvae 7 days post-fertilization with 1 mg/L BPF for 48 hours. We then maintained the animals under standard conditions for 5 months and compared them to control adults never exposed to BPF. In addition to sequencing the gut microbiome, we profiled six different tissues and serum by metabolomics and lipidomics. Strikingly, we found widespread alterations in metaboli

Immunofluorescence Rapid Analysis of Bisphenol A in Water Based on Magnetic Particles and Quantum Dots.

Bisphenol A (BPA) is widely used as a hardener in plastics production and its release and circulation in ecosystems lead to negatively impacts the human endocrine system. Therefore, there is a need for simple and efficient BPA monitoring tools. This paper presents a combination of two approaches for this purpose: the use of magnetic particles (MPs) as antibody carriers and immunochromatographic test strips based on quantum dots (QDs) for recording labeled immune complexes. Initially, free antigen binds to the MP-specific antibody conjugate, concentrating the sample to a final volume of 200 µL.

The hypothalamus-pituitary-thyroid axis is disrupted by exposure to a mix of tributyltin and bisphenol S.

Tributyltin is a biocide and bisphenol S is a plasticizer. The effects of the TBT + BPS mix on thyroid axis function are unknown. This study evaluated the effects of subacute exposure to TBT and BPS, both in mix and alone, in female young Wistar rats. Thyroid morphophysiology, gene expression, oxidative stress and collagen deposition were evaluated. TBT and BPS exposure resulted in a decrease in thyroid hormone levels, whereas TBT alone resulted in a decrease in TSH levels. The TBT + BPS group exhibited an increase in T4 levels, a decrease in T3 levels, a decrease in TPO activity, and an incre
