Oral lichen planus (OLP) is a chronic inflammatory disorder of oral mucosa, which represents cell-mediated autoimmune diseases. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to investigate the expression of CD28 on lymphocytes bearing CD3/TCRgammadelta receptors in cancer, i.e. cutaneous melanoma.

Using a newly generated monoclonal antibody we identified the 96 kDa transmembrane receptor SC5 expressed simultaneously on a human Sezary cell line and a minor T cell subset in normal individuals.
