AIMS: To identify urinary symptoms and morbidity after ambulatory urodynamics.
METHODS: One hundred consecutive women underwent ambulatory urodynamics for a variety of urinary complaints. Urinary symptom questionnaires were collected before investigation and again 48 hours later, reporting dysuria and haematuria. Women were screened for urinary tract infection before investigation and again 48 hours later.

OBJECTIVE: Bladder endometriosis is the presence of stroma and endometrial glands in the thickness of the detrusor muscle. The main symptoms it produces are dysuria and hematuria whose intensity is directly proportional to the size of the nodule. It is a difficult entity to diagnose for which physical examination is essential. 57 cervico-prostatic incisions have been performed, for prostatic hypertrophy in 56 cases and for dysuria without prostatic hypertrophy in one case. 36 patients underwent a mono-incision and 21 had a bi-incision. The operative technique is simple and the results are satisfactory. After 3 months, the dysuria was improved in 93.5% of cases and the pollakiuria was improved in 92.8% of cases. In 20 patients in whom the quality of ejaculation was defined prior to the operation, this persisted after the operation in 17 cases (85%); it was normal in 8 cases and diminished in 9 cases.

We used a urethral stent for management of high-age and high-risk patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) who needed surgical therapy. Nine patients were treated by this method. Chief complaints were urinary retention in 6 patients, dysuria with much residual urine in 2 and dysuria in 1. Blood loss and complications of the method were minimal. In the past, women with dysuria were generally classified as having cystitis or the acute urethral syndrome based on results of quantitative urine cultures. Transabdominal ultrasonography revealed a multilocular cyst at the neck of the bladder, and a cystoscopy revealed obstruction of the neck of the bladder. A retrospective analysis of 160 cases of bladder tumors in females revealed that in 9 of these cases cancer in the bladder arose 1 to 22 years after radiation for uterine and breast cancer.
