Dural arteriovenous fistulas (dAVf) are uncommon, acquired vascular lesions. Their location and vascular anatomy produces varied signs and symptoms and are misdiagnosed as other vascular anomalies. We present an atypical case of a dAVf identified along the left optic nerve sheath. The patient presented with progressive ophthalmological signs and was initially misdiagnosed with a left carotid-cavernous fistula. The aetiology, classification and treatment options are discussed.

We report a case of a 62-year-old man who presented to the emergency department with acute rectal bleeding. The patient had previous aortoiliac surgery with the utilization of an aorto-bifemoral vascular graft. Diagnosis of secondary aortoenteric fistula was made between the aortoiliac graft and sigmoid colon. This fistula had an entero-cutaneous component. In this study, the authors present a technical tip for better and easier visualization of rectourethral fistula both during dissection and fistula closure. In this technique, a small-caliber ureteral catheter is used for catheterization of the fistulous tract under direct urethroscopic guidance. Five cases were treated using this technique. All cases had either brachytherapy as a monotherapy or combined brachytherapy and external beam radiotherapy. All cases had the fistula completely healed except for one failed case that had a 2-cm fistula.
