Thirty patients with focal renal masses were evaluated on a .12-Tesla resistive magnetic resonance unit using partial saturation and spin echo pulse sequences. A short repetition time (TR = 143 ms) was employed for partial saturation images and a spin echo was present in each case (TE = 10 ms). Additional pulse sequences through regions of interest were also obtained. We describe a case of 68Ga-prostate-specific membrane antigen PET/CT scan with focal tracer concentration in the lung without any abnormalities in the CT part. 18F-FDG focal uptake in lungs without corresponding CT lesions is described. Two possible mechanisms proposed to explain this finding in FDG PET/CT scans are iatrogenic pulmonary microembolism and 18F-FDG-avid infection or inflammation that precedes structural findings. Conservative management of Pseudomonal infectious sclerokeratitis.

Pseudomonal sclerokeratitis is an uncommon infection with the potential for loss of vision and the eye. A 66-year-old male contact lens wearer presented with a painful red eye diagnosed as sclerokeratitis. An intensive regimen of topical, subconjunctival and oral antibiotics as well as oral steroids was used as primary treatment. Histological responses to the early phase of infection were compared in parotid lymph nodes of lambs infected by the subcutaneous route into the right eyelid with either a virulent or an attenuated strain of Salmonella abortusovis.
