Migration of foreign bodies into the urinary tract is a rare event. In certain instances, to unravel the way that objects arrived in the urinary tract is not easy. We report the case of an accidentally swallowed wooden toothpick that migrated and was found in the left ureterovesical junction, protruding into the bladder. Even though the computed tomography scan is widely employed to evaluate the urinary tract, this resource does not have a good sensitivity for detecting foreign bodies. OBJECTIVES: We report a rare case in which an intrapulmonary foreign body underwent a large intraoperative migration.
METHOD: A 57-year-old man with an intrapulmonary nail in the left S(10) was admitted into our hospital. Since the removal by a flexible bronchoscopy was unsuccessful, a thoracotomy was performed.
RESULT: Preoperative chest roentgenograms and a bronchoscopy after an endotracheal intubation confirmed that the nail had not migrated. During the operation, however, the nail moved from the periphery of B(10)b to the main bronchus.

Posterior dislocation of an intraocular lens in the vitreous cavity is an uncommon but serious complication of the standard extracapsular surgical technique for cataract extraction with intraocular lens implantation. Described herein is a new technique for managing this complication by using vitrectomy techniques and scleral fixation sutures of the intraocular lens. This technique allows permanent, controllable relocation of the intraocular lens and avoids trauma to the iris and cornea that previous techniques for intraocular lens repositioning may induce.

Although the embolization of catheters and other foreign bodies in blood vessels is a well-known happening, needle embolization has rarely been reported. We describe here an instance in which a hypodermic needle broke in a man's skin during cocaine injection. The needle fragment was observed to migrate within a short time to the periphery of the left lung. The patient did not develop complications. The limited literature available indicates that such peripheral embolization usually follows a benign course.

Acute obstructive cholangitis developed secondary to a common duct stone formed around a silver hemostatic clip, introduced at cholecystectomy two years previously, that had migrated from a long cystic duct remnant. Stone formation around a silk suture is well known, and silver clips in the area of the porta hepatis may constitute a similar hazard.

PURPOSE: To report the application of intraocular lens (IOL) scaffold technique in intraocular foreign body (IOFB) removal.
METHODS: Patient with IOFB in posterior segment is included. The IOFB is retrieved from the posterior segment (pars plana vitrectomy and exteriorization of the IOFB from the retinal surface using an intravitreal forceps via the posterior capsulotomy) and placed on the iris. A three-piece posterior chamber IOL is placed in the sulcus via the clear corneal incision. IOFB is then removed from the anterior chamber over the IOL by forceps.

We present two cases of early post-operative, in the bag intraocular lens (IOL) dislocation following uncomplicated phacoemulsification. Dislocation occurred in the presence of capsular fibrosis and anterior capsular phimosis. One patient was a known diabetic, the other diagnosed with pseudoexfoliation syndrome.
