A case of lymphangiosarcoma of a lower extremity is described in a patient with chronic lymphedema of that leg from a filarial infection in childhood. Histologically, the neoplasm resembled lymphangiosarcomas that arise in arms that become lymphedematous after mastectomies, but was different in that it also contained areas of calcification consistent with prior filarial infection. Calcifications were also present in muscle uninvolved by the lymphangiosarcoma of this case. The prolonged survival of this patient is unlike that of most patients with lymphangiosarcoma, which is generally shorter.

A 4-year-old boy had had progressive central lumbar pain and hamstring spasm. He had a normal lumbar-spine x-ray except for minimal L-5, S1 spondylolysis, but gave an abnormal gallium-67 scan in the region of the low lumbar spine. Eight weeks following intensive antibiotic therapy, confirmation of the diagnosis of disc-space infection was established by roentgenographic studies that demonstrated narrowing of the L 4-5 intervertebral disc space. A technetium-99m diphosphonate bone scan, performed concurrently with the gallium-67 study, was normal.

A series of clinically suspected malignant melanomas was used to test the usefulness of 67Gallium citrate using external counting techniques. Abnormalities of pulmonary function were studied in 10 patients with progressive systemic sclerosis (PSS) and 3 control subjects. All underwent 81M krypton lung scanning and total body gallium scanning. Immune complexes were measured by Raji cell radioimmunoassay and polyethylene glycol (PEG) assay. We report a case of metastatic castration-resistant prostate carcinoma with discordant PSMA (prostate specific membrane antigen) expression- 68 Ga-PSMA PET/CT (positron emission tomography/computed tomography) showed PSMA-avid skeletal metastases but nonavid liver lesions. The patient received 177 Lu-PSMA-617 on compassionate grounds. Post-therapy imaging revealed radiotracer uptake in both skeletal and previously nonavid hepatic metastases, suggesting possible increased lesion amenability. Malignant laryngeal lesions are most commonly primary tumors, predominantly squamous cell carcinoma. Metastatic involvement of the larynx is extremely rare. Among metastatic tumors, renal cell carcinoma, melanoma, lung cancer, and breast cancer represent the most frequent primary sources, whereas metastasis from prostate adenocarcinoma is exceptionally uncommon. Here, we present a case of vocal cord metastasis from prostate adenocarcinoma that was initially detected on 68 Ga-PSMA PET/CT and remained clinically silent for a prolonged period.

Bilateral testicular involvement in prostate cancer is quite rare. It is often associated with widespread systemic disease and inadequate response to systemic therapy. We present a case of metastatic prostate cancer with bilateral testicular metastases and simultaneous involvement of the left spermatic cord detected on 68 Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT and confirmed on the histopathology of bilateral orchiectomy done for achieving the androgen deprivation status. Early detection of such unusual sites of metastases has poorer prognostic outcome and management implications.
