BACKGROUND: Walking is essential in daily life, and footwear type significantly affects walking patterns. High-heeled shoes increase the risk of knee osteoarthritis and falls in women. Traditional studies often use treadmills or unfamiliar footwear, which may not reflect daily walking. FGFR inhibitors are a new therapeutic option for urothelial carcinoma (UC) with FGFR2/3 alterations. The lateral calcaneal artery fasciocutaneous transpositional flap is utilized for coverage in a case presentation of a 6-year-old child with an insensate posterior heel defect. A comparison of pressure reducing properties of alternating air, static air, and water mattress overlays was conducted with 57 patients in a surgical intensive care unit. Severe heel enthesopathy was diagnosed in 4 of 18 cases of juvenile onset seronegative spondyloarthropathy. The plantar fascia was affected in each case, whereas the insertion of the Achilles tendon was involved in only one case. All were males over the age of 8 at the onset of arthropathy; HLA-B27 was present in each patient. Mild heel pain was found in 4 other patients. BACKGROUND: Monomorphic epitheliotropic intestinal T-cell lymphoma (MEITL) is a rare and highly aggressive lymphoma with a dismal prognosis and no established standard therapy. Its frequent expression of BCL-2 provides a rationale for targeting this anti-apoptotic protein.
METHODS: We report the case of a 34-year-old female with refractory MEITL who failed prior lines of therapy, including CHOPE and gemcitabine/oxaliplatin (GemOx) combined with golidocitinib. Based on positive BCL-2 expression by immunohistochemistry, a salvage regimen combining venetoclax with Gemox was administered.
