Groups of five male and five female New Zealand albino rabbits were treated by skin application with either 0 (distilled water control), 30, 150 or 450 mg/kg undiluted trichlorobenzene (ICB) for 5 days/week for four weeks. No treatment related systemic effects were observed at any of the treatment levels when body weight, clinical chemistry and organ weight parameters were measured. Brake cleaner liquid is commonly used for cleaning of engines and motor parts. The commercially available products usually contain mainly volatile organic compounds. As a consequence brake cleaner evaporates fast and almost completely from the cleaned surface. This case report presents a fatal accidental inhalation of brake cleaner liquid aerosols due to the attempted cleaning of a boat engine. A 16year old boy was found lifeless in the engine compartment of a boat engine. OBJECTIVE: In this study, 218 national drug rehabilitation center helpers in Malaysia were surveyed regarding perceptions of their on-the-job clinical supervision needs and preferred supervisor roles and emphasis areas in their supervision sessions.
METHODS: Descriptive analyses were conducted.
RESULTS: Findings suggest that drug rehabilitation center helpers in Malaysia expressed high level of on-the-job supervision needs. In addition, professional behavior skills were found to be the most desirable supervisory area followed by process, conceptualization, and personalization skills.
