Subcutaneous panniculitis-like T-cell lymphoma (SPTCL) is a rare form of skin lymphoma that is localized primarily to the subcutaneous adipose tissue without involvement of the lymph nodes. Clinically, the skin lesions mimic lipomas, while histologically they resemble panniculitis. We report a case of a young woman with SPTCL. She achieved complete remission after combination chemotherapy.

PURPOSE: To study the possible relationship between mesenteric panniculitis (MP) visible on computed tomography (CT) and the presence of an underlying neoplastic disease.
PATIENTS AND METHODS: A retrospective analysis of 158 patients with CT examinations that revealed the presence of MP was performed. CT images were analyzed by two different radiologists using morphological criteria validated in the radiological literature. Subcutaneous panniculitis like T-cell lymphoma derived from α/β T-cells (SPTCL-AB) belongs to the group of primary cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, and it represents less than the 1% of all primary cutaneous T-cell lymphomas.
