We present two clinical cases of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) diagnosed after pregnancy. Both patients experienced exertional breathlessness during the third month after their uncomplicated delivery, and idiopathic PAH was diagnosed after an integrated assessment. Our first patient, a 30-year-old woman, was vasoreactive, treated with optimally tolerated doses of calcium channel blockers with adequate response, and she has remained in a stable and satisfactory condition for the last seven years. Twenty-year-old para 1 presented with acute puerperal uterine inversion. Manual reposition and O'sullivan methods were tried but failed. She refused for any other corrective procedure. UNLABELLED: Thromboembolic complications are frequent in patients with peripartum cardiomyopathy (PPCM). Peripheral artery occlusions are however rare. This case report describes a 30-year-old grand multiparous woman with PPCM complicated by acute lower limb ischaemia and gangrene. Disseminated aspergillosis is an uncommon and unpredictable complication in severely immunocompromised patients and poses a challenging problem in the management and care of seriously ill patients receiving intensive care therapy. We report an autopsied case of disseminated aspergillosis occurring ina 31-year-old female patient who was treated for HELLP (hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes, and low platelet count) syndrome. She initially presented with edema and proteinuria at a pregnancy check-up. At gestational age 33 weeks and 2 days, she had right lower abdominal pain, nausea, and jaundice.

Urinary retention after vaginal delivery is a relatively common problem, usually resolved by the temporary use of an indwelling catheter. Presented are two patients with persistent bladder atony after vaginal delivery, despite the use of an indwelling catheter for 10 days. Both patients had low forceps deliveries without severe perineal trauma. Clostridium perfringens is commonly present in the female genital tract. Uterine infection with this organism is a potentially fatal disease infrequently seen in obstetric practice. The influence of pregnancy on multiple sclerosis was studied in 338 women by determining in each trimester of pregnancy and post partum the number of relapses and the corresponding relapse rate. Eighty-five relapses occurred in association with 199 pregnancies, most (65) in the postpartum period, and a low number of relapses (2) were recorded in the last trimester of pregnancy.
