OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the lumber plexus blockade as anesthesia technique for hip fracture repair in elderly patients.
METHODS: We retrospectively analyzed the peri-operative data of 87 hip fracture patients, aged 70 years or older, who underwent surgical repair at our hospital between 2003 and 2006. Nine proteins encoded by Mycobacterium tuberculosis RD1 region are important protective antigens that become absent in long passaging of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. They only exist in pathogenic Mycobacteria and are absent in Bacille Calmette-Guerin and environmental Mycobacteria. With good immunogenicities, they may play an important role in the diagnosis and prevention of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) is a member of the transforming growth factor (TGF)-beta superfamily and mainly expressed by the granulosa cells of ovarian follicles. In women AMH is only expressed in ovarian follicles and therefore can be used for the evaluation of the ovarian reserve function and the prediction of ovary ageing and ovarian response during in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment.
