Female masculinisation (FM) in gastropods (imposex, intersex and ovo-testis) has been documented in > 260 species globally. A simple and effective way for TiO(2) to be deposited on silicon or indium tin oxide (ITO) substrates has been achieved by using a poly(styrene-block-4-vinyl pyridine) (PS-b-P4VP) block copolymer template. In particular, a mechanism for the formation of TiO(2) within the P4VP phase was developed. Within this model, the TiO(2) deposition occurs by swelling of the protonated P4VP segments followed by transport of Ti precursor, probably protonated Ti(OH)(4) given the low pH conditions used, into the swollen P4VP followed by condensation into TiO(2) during the heating/plasma etch processes. A series of tris(N,N-dialkylcarbamato)antimony(III) complexes, Sb(O(2)CNR(2))(3) (R = Me, Et, Pr(i)()), have been synthesized and are the first members of this class of compound to have been crystallographically characterized. Sb(O(2)CNMe(2))(3) (1) exists as a weakly bound dimer, whereas its diethyl and diisopropyl analogues (2, 3) are monomeric. Nitric oxide (NO) is a free radical produced actively by mammalian cells, including neurons. Low levels of NO can function in intercellular signaling, but high levels are cytotoxic. In cultured endothelial cells, incubation with TNF-alpha (50 ng/ml) for 72 h markedly reduced viability of endothelial cells. Reduced graphene oxides loaded with tin-antimony alloy (RGO-SnSb) nanocomposites were synthesized through a hydrothermal reaction and the subsequent thermal reduction treatments. Transmission electron microscope images confirm that SnSb nanoparticles with an average size of about 20-30 nm are uniformly dispersed on the RGO surfaces. The new class of homo- and heteroleptic n-butyl-N,N'-disubstituted amidinato group 14 metal(II) complexes were prepared by salt elimination from starting lithium amidinates and metal(II) chlorides both in stoichiometric ratio 2:1 and 1:1, respectively. This article focuses on the synthesis and the crystal chemistry of six members of a series of rare-earth metal based germanides with general formula RELiGe(2) (RE = La-Nd, Sm, and Eu). BACKGROUND: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disease that threatens the physical health of elderly people. As a potential biomarker for AD, the assessment of monoamine oxidase B (MAO-B) activity is essential for the early diagnosis of AD. Prussian blue nanoparticles (PB NPs) are metal-organic framework materials that can react with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) at low overpotential to produce a reduction current.
