This study empirically identified subtypes of social anxiety using a cluster analytic approach. From 87 out-patients with social phobia (taijin kyofusho) and 48 controls, social anxiety symptoms, social situations in which symptoms occur, and background information were evaluated. BACKGROUND: The esthesioneuroblastoma is a rare tumour of neuroectodermal origin, which arises usually in the area of the olfactory epithelium and invades the paranasal sinuses, the orbit and the brain. It was shown that of the greatest significance for early results of microsurgical digit and hand segment replantations were the completeness, mechanism and the level of the amputation. The criteria used for the classification of traumas are described in detail. In the present study the Müller-Hermelink classification was used to analyze 39 thymomas and 4 thymic carcinomas collected over 20 years at the Chair and Department of Pathomorphology CM UJ. We report the results of distraction osteogenesis (callotasis) for the reconstruction of extensive defects after the excision of skeletal tumours in the limbs. Bone transport was performed in ten patients (five osteosarcomas and five giant-cell tumours), shortening-distraction in three (two osteosarcomas and one Ewing's sarcoma), and distraction osteogenesis combined with an intramedullary nail to reduce the time of external fixation in six (three osteosarcomas, two chondrosarcomas, and one malignant fibrous histiocytoma). The mean length of the defects after excision of the lesion was 8.4 cm.
